"There is a place where dreams are born, and time is never planned. It's not on any chart, you must find it with your heart; Never, never land." Yes, the girls had a great time last week at drama camp. They were in a short version (about 25 minutes) of Peter Pan. It was impressive, I have to say. The kids did awesome with their lines, the music was great, and it was funny and entertaining. The little boy played Hook did a great job, as did Peter. But my favorite two characteres were....
these two adorable little girls!!!
This was Emma's drama debut (not counting the drama we get for free here at home.) She wanted to try Drama Camp last year with Allison but wasn't old enough. She did a great job. The first day she wasn't so sure about things, but she worked hard to memorize her lines; even quietly practicing her lines by herself in the top row of the theater while the music director worked with some of the kids on songs from the show. Allison was so proud of Emma and how hard she worked even when other kids were playing around. Good job, Sweet Pea!
And Allison was a lost boy! She was hoping to be Wendy, OF COURSE, but she did a great job as a lost boy. She actually loved being a lost boy and had the best time working on her costume with me. We transformed a beautiful little girl into a filthy lost boy and had a blast doing it! She got to swing on this rope in her opening scene, which was a surprise to us. I love little surprises like that!
And here are all three of our own "Darling" Children.
Allison and Emma, you did a fantastic job in your show and we are so proud of you and all your hard work. Most of all, we are so glad you had fun at Drama Camp. And Meagan, you were such a good girl during your sisters' shows and even started the applause yourself a few times when the audience waited too long to clap!
We love you girls!
