The past 2 days of summer have looked like this:

Summer here looks like 7 pounds of pick-your-own blackberries from Neal's Berry Farm.  Neal's is a little piece of heaven that is literally 5 minutes from our house.  The berries are HUGE and SWEET! Cobblers to come...

Tonight, summer looks like this variety of yellow squash which I have never seen in my life - but also came from Neal's.  They are beautiful!  And pesticide free!  I stir fried them and they are delish!

Yesterday, summer looked like a sweaty mama and her 3 little women picking blackberries til the underneath part of our fingernails were black with juice!

Summer also looked like this little dude, eating from Aunt Sissy's bucket of berries.  He was so good about staying in his stroller.  We just  kept the berries coming.  Toward the end of our berry picking, the girls took him to a chicken pen and he was in little boy heaven watching those chickens.
Today, Summer looked like this poor little apricot, who despite being poked and prodded, is still happy to have ended up in the Wiggins home!  Meagan ate 2 apricots earlier today.  I found this little guy in Allison's bathroom on the floor.  My guess is Meagan decided she wasn't hungry for the third one and instead got a little creative.
Oh and Summer yesterday looked like this little baby girl, patiently drinking her bottle while her mama and Aunt Sissy picked blackberries.  Not one peep did this little girl make.
Okay, I'm sorry, but I think this was clever.  Meagan didn't want the apricot to be stuck being happy.  Sometimes you just aren't happy.  So, when you turn the apricot around, he's sad.

And yesterday afternoon, summer looked like my girls and me in our pantry, waiting out one of the worst storms we've had in years.  When the pine trees started swirling at the top and I saw hail blowing sideways out the window, I decided we were headed to the pantry.  The girls had fun with flashlights, gummies and water bottles.  And you can't see in the picture, but Emma brought her baby turtles in with us.  She couldn't risk their safety.
