I lost my widgets!

Okay, there hasn't been much excitement around here besides the usual antics of my crazy kids. And you're about to find out just how un-exciting it's been after you read this silly post.

About two weeks ago, Gina took the big girls to the circus for a special surprise. They were VERY excited. I will post some of the pictures Allison took at a later time. Anyway, while they were gone I got a lot of cleaning done and then in the extra time I had left I went to that pyzam website to look at other templates for our little bloggie blog. Well, I found one that I thought was totally neat-o and successfully got it up and running. Then, decided to be woman and changed my mind and realized I did not like the template after all. In my gut, I had a feeling I should just leave it alone. I really didn't know what I was doing and was fairly sure it was only by the grace of God my blog was still intact at all. But, no, I had to look around some more and found a much better template for my blog. So, dummy me, here I go again switching it up and there was a warning that popped up - something about my widgets. My widgets. May I ask, What on earth is a WIDGET??? Whatever they are, I took whatever precaution I thought was necessary to protect them - after all, I may not know what they are but if I had them to begin with I certainly did not want to lose them. Well, my precaution was apparently not enough because when I clicked the button to view my blog the only thing visible was pictures. Not a single word was on the blog. I thought I was going to be sick. And I've only been blogging for like TWO MONTHS and I literally had to tell myself, "GET A GRIP!" At this point, I am thinking, "If I was about to lose the words, why didn't it just tell me to protect my WORDS - WHEN DID "WIDGET" START MEANING "WORD?" People, I am reluctant to tell you, but I have to be real - I took this to the Lord in prayer. I know it's petty - it's a blog. But, I don't journal and I don't scrapbook and this blog had already become a special little something to do both for me (journaling) and my kids (journaling/posting their pictures). So, if I'm going to confess I prayed about my blog, I also have to testify that the Lord is good - even when it comes to blogging - and He gave me the presence of mind to figure out how to get the words back. But, I did lose a few of the things I had on the side - like my list of blogs I like to go to, websites, books, etc... I'll put that stuff back soon. But from now on, there will be no fancy templates for Little Women.

Lesson: Protect your widgets...whatever they are.
