RANDOMNESS

Okay, DAYS AND DAYS LATE... Here are a few random things about JeanAnn. I know Sarah is asking herself why on earth she tagged me. Anyway, prepare to be dazzled. (Ha! Ha!)

1. I absolutely love shopping for my girls. And I get a big kick out of bargain shopping for them. I am such a nerd that when I find good deals, I come home and total how much I spent, then how much I saved and convert it to the percentage I saved. The goal is at least 50% overall on a shopping trip. One day after one of these trips, I showed my cousin all my deals and broke out the calculator and started the madness. To which she responded, "Intense." I took it as a compliment.

2. I love reruns of Little House on the Prairie and The Andy Griffith Show. Love them. Love them so much that I have taught my girls to love them. Mark loves Bonanza and has taught the girls to love that show as well. Let's just say the Wiggins really like TvLand.

3. I love 80's music. It puts me in a good mood and I feel 16 again. Until I get out of the car and put Meagan in the kangaroo carrier (the snuggli) and grab each of the big girls' hands. Then I feel 35 again....and very blessed.

4. I love West Texas. When Mark and I first got married we lived in Lubbock while he finished his degree at Tech. I taught kindergarten at Brown Elementary and he went to school and brought me Taco Bell at lunch sometimes. We attended Southcrest Baptist Church and made the best friends of our lives together so far. When Mark was moving his new bride to Lubbock for the first time, we drove right into a dust storm. And then it started raining. Literally, it was like it was raining mud. I felt like it was the apocalypse. I wanted to go home. But in very little time, West Texas grew on me and our time there was wonderfully simple and sweet. I miss it and think of it all the time.

5. I bait my own hooks and enjoy deer hunting with Mark. I gut shot my first deer and felt very bad about it. I experience buck fever before I shoot and feel like I'm going to hyperventilate. I only hunt with Mark a few times a year because it isn't practical to go on every hunt. And I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much if I went all the time. So, I guess it's more of a novelty to me. My favorite thing about it is watching the sun come up in the morning. It is breathtaking to watch creation wake up.

6. After I delivered Allison, I felt like I could do anything. I will completely admit that I was proud of myself. It was the hardest physical thing I had ever done, but gave me the greatest personal satisfaction and purest joy I had ever experienced. She made me a mother. And I felt that exact same way after Emma and Meagan as well. Each experience was uniquely special for different reasons. But those same feelings of pride, satisfaction and joy resonated with each of their births.

So there you have it! Gina already got tagged and as pitiful as this sounds...I don't have that many bloggy friends. But, I am going to tag Shanna Ann. And I better call her on the phone and let her know since she hasn't blogged since like July!

I keep forgetting that you lived in West Texas...I knew I liked you! :-) We need to send the guys to the ranch some weekend and us girls head to Lubbock for a road trip! Gina definitely needs to experience the flat land and dirt out there. Maybe we should take her in the spring, what do you think?!? :-) People in Lubbock always say, "It may not be the prettiest place in the world, but we have GREAT people!"
