First Date

Mark and I had our first date since Meagan was born on Saturday night. We did sneak off for a couple of nights last August and my parents were kind enough to keep ALL THREE girls while we were gone. Meagan still was not sleeping through the night at that time, so while I was very much looking forward to alone time with Mr. Wiggins, I confess what I was really pumped about was SLEEPING.

Anyway, Saturday night we went on a real date, hired a REAL babysitter and went out! I love that we can depend on our parents to keep the girls for us and they keep them quite a bit here and there when we need them to. But, it is time for us to start using a babysitter some too.

And let me tell you...using a babysitter is very nice. Of course, NOTHING COMPARES TO GRANDPARENTS! But, a good babysitter is great too. Our babysitter brought fingernail polish and did the big girls' toes after Meagan went to bed. She did crafts with them. They made paper bag puppet and bracelets. They watched a movie together. And she got Meagan in bed at 7:45 and the big girls in bed at 9:00. WHICH MEANS...when we got home at 9:45, the kids were all asleep in the bed and we got to pop a dvd in and watch a movie. So, it was like still being on our date. It was AWESOME. (the word awesome here should be sung in a high-pitch, vibrato voice.)

So, on the off chance Chandler the best (hired) babysitter ever drops by this blog, Thank you for a wonderful job and for opening my eyes to a whole new world!

Date night is about to become a regular occurance in the Wiggins house.
