Now what?

Tomorrow is a big day for our nation - like it or not. God is sovereign and His word tells us the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord. His Word also tells us over and over again to pray. More than ever I am seeing signs encouraging God's people to pray for our nation and pray for our president. I am so thankful for God's protection on this nation following 9/11. I didn't agree with every single decision that was made during the Bush years, but it's a handful of people who know what that man saw come across his desk day in and day out in regards to this nation's security. And a lot of credit goes to him for many things; but the credit goes to God and God alone for our safety over the past 7 years. May it be so during the next president's term.

"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."
1 Timothy 2:1-4
