Checkin' in...

Checking in on my poor neglected blog! Things are ridiculous-busy right now. We're still working on the new house, taking care of updates and doing some painting ourselves. We are very blessed to have had the help of our wonderful friend Donnie from church come through with fantastic references for installers. It's all coming together after months (literally) of hit and miss meetings with other contracters bidding the work.

Also on the radar are end of the year school and church programs for all the girls, mother's day tomorrow (yay! my favorite!) our 15th anniversary (Wednesday!), packing, end of the year parties (not your typical last day of school affair - persmission slip, parent attending bashes - one at a neighborhood pool and the other at Main Event. Sense the excited anticipation) and other stuff.

I spent yesterday running around getting mother's day gifts together. Today I ran around getting mother's day crafts together for my Sunday School class. Mark ran to two tile places loading and unloading tile which he hand picked for the bathroom. I'm praying his back isn't broke tomorrow. I'll need him to help plant mother's day flowers in Sunday School!

Tonight I was treated to a nice little family dinner at Carrabba's with just my most favorites. It was so nice. We laughed at Meagan's funny face and played about 5 rounds of telephone, which Mark does not see the point of that game. Next time we'll have to pick a more boyish game, like paper football. (?) It was nice to visit and laugh and not talk about how we're going to get our ginormous mirror off the wall in our bathroom.

I'll try to check in tomorrow to post some of the things I want to remember from my mother's day gifts and notes.
