Bad things come in threes?

Have you ever heard that saying? I don't usually subscribe to sayings like that. I'm not a superstitious person and that saying sounds superstitious, so I don't buy it. But, regardless of whether or not I buy it, starting around 3:30 this afternoon until about 10:00 p.m. when I pulled into our driveway three really stupid things happened that I wish had not.

First - we left the lakehouse after a great weekend with my family only to have to turn around and head back (about 40 minutes into the trip home) because Mark left something there that he had to have. Bummer. And we were making such good time with all three girls asleep.

Second - we pull into our driveway only to remember we left Mark's truck at the little house when we left town because we left from there after doing yard work and cleaning for the realtor pictures.

Third - on the way home (for the second time) I rear ended the man in front of me after looking down at the radio for half a second. His bumper is bent downward, my car is fine except my license plate is bent. The girls were with me, which I hated because I think it scared them at first, but I assured them everything was fine and we'd be back on the road in just a few minutes. They seemed to breathe a sigh of relief and did fine while I exchanged information with the man at the gas station we were in front of when it happened.

Ever want to wave the white flag?

And now I will remind myself of three words that are so true.

COULD. BE. WORSE.

Oh my word, Sissy. Y'all had a trip. I can't believe you rear ended somebody after ALL THAT.

It was such a great weekend, though :)
