I am unpacking and organizing our office right now and came across this note I wrote for Emma on the first day she decided to stop sucking her fingers. It is dated December 2008.

Here is a note,
It is just for you-
To say that I'm so proud of you!
Today was a big day
That is for sure...
Giving up your fingers
Really makes you a big "gur!"
Always remember and never foreget
So big is my love for you
A dresser drawer could not hold it.
You are special, unique and no one else is like you.
You are proof-positive each day
God's promises are true.
