Wranglers, and probably a Carhartt

I want you to look at this little dude. This is the Pioneer Woman's little boy, with Marlboro Man, who is Pioneer Woman's husband. I wanted to be sure to let you know who this was, since I grabbed it off of Pioneer Woman's blog (which is one of my new favorite places to go on the internet.)

I love pictures like this. I love pictures that just show a moment. No one is looking at the camera, smiling. No one is begging the young subject to smile. Just snap the picture and there you go.

I also love this picture because it's a picture of a little boy, wearing little Wranglers, and probably a Carhartt jacket. Now, you know I think little girls are fabulous. And since little girls are what these Wiggins got, that's about all I've written about on this blog!

But, I came across this picture and thought I should point out that I also think little boys are wonderful. I like the way they take a hot wheels car and run it along a wall until someone makes them stop. I like the way the back of a little boy's head feels after a short hair cut. I like the way they are built tough, but tender inside. I like the way they are attracted to water puddles and mud, almost as if the mess is pulling the little boy to it, and his resistance is futile. When we have a little boy over at our house, or even just in the car - like Emma's friend Seth, he gets extra attention from me. I guess it's because we don't have little boys, except our big boy named Daddy. And I always tell the little boy, "Ya know, Mrs. JeanAnn doesn't have any boys at her house except Mr. Mark" and I get a kick out of seeing the expression on the little boy's face.

My brother and Gina are having a baby in August. And it's a boy! His name is C.J. (named after his Daddy, Cas) and I can't wait to meet him. He has 5 (count them, 5) GIRL cousins! The first boy on both sides of the family. This boy will have more levi's, wranglers, boots, rubber snakes, whoopee cushions and camo than you can shake a stick at! C.J., your Aunt Sissy loves you so much. Let the burping, pooting, and spitting begin.
