Worst blogger ever...

I doubt I will ever forget the season we are in right now in our family life...so I'm not sure what it serves to blog about it. I guess I shouldn't say that. Sometimes it's just hard to write about the junk. The stuff you kind of want to forget. Or the stuff you wish you weren't going through. Our journey right now is bumpy. We've had some highs and some lows in the last few months since I last was blogging regularly. (Or, regularly for my standards...which isn't that regular as it turns out) Anyway, I had blogged a few months ago about our plans to build a home. Here's a picture of it under construction.

Mark took this picture and I really like the lighting and stuff, which is why I chose this one to post on the blog. Anywho.... long story short, as it turns out, this home was not meant to be for us. But, we are fine and we have no regrets.

We went to Disneyworld in October. This was definitely a welcome detour on our bumpy journey! We had a really great time together. Meagan could not decide whether it was the most awesome or scariest place on earth, but whatever the case, her undisputed favorite thing of all was the Carousel in the Magic Kingdom. The big girls had a great time riding rides and watching parades and shows. One major disappointment was they were working on "It's a Small World." BUMMER! That is the big girls' favorite. They were also working on the Tea Cups ride. It was pretty warm while we were there and we were able to do some swimming, which was grand to the girls since we haven't swam since the summer. Anyway, here are some pictures...

I'm sorry, but I just have to say - ladies, does your man get much hotter than when he has one of your babies on his shoulders?! I love this man. Just sayin'....

Emma, strapped to a rocket, waiting for pictures with Buzz and Woody.

Okay, this is my favorite picture of my dad. My dad loves him some Disneyworld popcorn. Everytime I turned around, he was darting away from us and then returning...with popcorn. If you want to know what Greg looks like at Disney, this is it. Chillin...with popcorn.

I think at last count, Meagan rode the Carousel in the Magic Kingdom 14 times. Nevermind that she could have had just as much fun riding the Carousel at the Woodlands Mall. She really did love the trip to Disney. Still, she will ask me every day, "Can we go to Disney today? Pweeeease?!"

Pigget! Pigget loved Meagan and I think she actually ended up kissing his nose. That's probably where she got the lovely sinus infection she is still fighting.

Here's Allison's frightened face.

And Meagan...who is actually so stiff, she's trembling. (She does this pose when she's actually scared, or pretending to be scared, or super excited.)

Watching the parade. She waved at everybody.

Look at this cute puffer fish! It's like he came over to say hello to the girls.
They LOVED this aquarium outside of Turtle Talk with Crush. Really cool exhibit!

Oh, yes. Meagan got asked to dance by Prince Charming. Actually, Emma was asked first, but she turned him down flat. I thought Mark was going to high five Emma for turning him down; but just as soon as Emma turned him down, the unflappable Prince simply turned to Meagan, who was climbing out of the highchair before Prince Charming had even asked for a dance. The child all but said, "Yeah, baby!" It was so funny and cute. It was cute until the Prince was ready to go dance with someone else. Then Meagan could not understand why she couldn't continue her dance, and ended up throwing a fit. On the floor. At the ball. My Uncle Aaron would call an experience like that "below average." I concur.

All three girls, with Prince Charming.

And all three girls with one of the step sisters. This girl was hilarious! She would roll her eyes every time Cinderella would walk by. My girls loved her.

More catching up to come. We are very blessed, despite the bumps in the road. We are healthy and we have what we need. Most of all, we have each other. Life is good.
