I'm posting this on my blog because I haven't been on facebook in over a week. I've been getting on facebook for about 2 months now. In the last two months, our computer has been slower and has done some of the weirdest stuff ever. I didn't make the connection until a friend of mine told me she thought facebook was slowing her computer down.
Last night, our computer crashed, we think. It shut itself off and now when we turn it on, the screen is completely white and the insides aren't making any noise at all. Our computer isn't very old at all - maybe a year or so.
Have any of y'all had any experience with this??? Write a comment if you have or if you have any insight at all. Of course, I'm not sure when I'll get your comment; I'm writing this on my mom's computer. Depending on how long our computer is down, I may be over here again real soon to check emails and all the other stuff I'm on the computer for.
You know, the computer has become almost like electricity for me. You know how when the electricity is out, you keep on trying to turn on the lights anyway. And you feel so dumb. I keep going to the computer for stuff and forgetting it's broken.
Technology. Isn't it wonderful!

I'm no computer expert, but the fact that you are not getting any power ("the insides aren't making any noise at all") sounds like a hardware issue, such as the power supply, as opposed to a software issue (computer virus, etc.) I would guess your monitor is okay but is not receiving a signal; you could test to confirm the monitor is fine by connecting it with a good computer. It is interesting that you said your computer had been sluggish as of late and I'm not sure what sort of weird activity you've seen over the last few weeks, but I'd still lean towards it being an hardware issue based on the ultimate failure/crashing. Anyway, I am sure I would be frustrated in your place too; I hope you can get it resolved without too much hassle! <3
