Glitter and Shine

"A little glitter can turn your whole day around."
-Junie B. Jones, from Junie B., First Grader Shipwrecked
That sounds like something one of my girls would say. So many things can turn your whole day around. Here are few I thought of tonight.
A little glitter, a little shine;
A little note says, "I'm so glad you're mine!"
A little dress up, a little game;
Without these girls, we wouldn't be the same.
A little wink, a little hug;
Or from the circus, a ten-dollar mug.
A little lip gloss, new purse and nail polish.
Not weeds, but dandelions! Now go make a wish!
A little dollhouse, a pretend family too.
One day they'll have their own little crew.
A little seed, some dirt and a cup;
And just like the seed, they are all growing up.
A little sock, a little shoe;
Sometimes we're so busy we don't know what to do.
A little cry, not sad tears; but of joy.
One day the house will stay clean, but today there are toys!
A little kiss, a bed time story;
Prayers, Amen, and to God be the glory.

A pretty little woman;
Full of love and life.
Oh, how blessed I am;
That you are my wife!

Gifted, so true;
And a wonderful mother.
For my little girls;
There could be no other!

JeanAnn, you are so pretty, gifted, and wonderful, and I am so blessed to share the many gifts we have, and our most prized and precious gifts with you. Thank you for sharing your treasures with me.

Love,
Mark.

JeanAnn - that was just plain lovely. I hope you make a book of what you write for your girls one day. What a treasure! <3
