Blizzard, Houston Style

So, if you want to know what 1-3 inches of snow and a Houston-style Arctic Blast looks like... here ya go.

The one redeeming quality of the day was that there was no school and Mark didn't have to go to work. Other than that, school children all over Harris County were calling for the jobs of weathermen everywhere. I saw a post on a friends facebook page that said, "Channel 13 is dead to me." That pretty much summed it up. When the weatherman says "70% chance of snow," ya want to believe him. Oh well. I'm trying not to be bitter.

So, no snow. We did, however, have frost on our houses as well as icicles! We saved icicles in our freezer. So we can always remember the blizzard of 2011.

The roads were a terrible mess on Friday, though. That was no laughing matter. There were lots of accidents all over town. I was thankful we could all stay in.

One other thing - Thursday the high is supposed to be 33. I don't think there's a chance of snow this time.

Stay warm friends!
