Emma's favorite things about her friends.

Emma's teacher, Mrs. Loftin, had the kids each write a sentence about their favorite things about each of their friends. Here are Emma's favorite things...

Abby: I like you because you like frogs, just like me.
Aubrey: You are a good dancing partner.
Avery: Stylish.
Gracie: I like your smile.
Hannah: I like the way you play baby
Matthew: I like the way you are always nice.
Nicholas: You are a good Godzilla.
Paige: You are a good friend.
Sarah: You hug and kiss me.

I asked Emma to tell me her favorite thing about each of her friends and what I loved is that she didn't even have to think about it. She had an answer that was unique for each friend, and answered quickly. I learned some things about Emma from this little activity:
1. She sees each person in her class as truly unique. She purposely didn't say the same thing about two people, but wouldn't say something about someone unless it was true.
2. She can easily tell me at least one thing she likes about each of her friends and I think that means she loves her friends and looks for the best in each of them.

Everyone should have a friend like Emma.

Sissy, I have loved all your posts lately. I like jumping on your blog and seeing a post every time! This post about Emma is so precious - she really is a wonderful friend, like her Uncle Cas. I've always told Cas I would love to be half the friend he is. And I really liked the post about Meagan and You betcha. It's so funny for her to say that. Those girls provide a host of material!

Keep up the blogging! I love reading.

Love you so much,
